" seeks to explore the way in which the political teachings of the Quran are interpreted and applied in two opposing and competing readings of contemporary political Islam. The importance and necessity of this research stems from the fact that the discursive confrontation between these two rationalities is not merely an intellectual or theological conflict, but rather a field of strategic conflicts over the identity of the Islamic nation, the political order of the region, and the legitimate interpretation of the Quran in the contemporary era. Given the spread of the phenomenon of extremism and the misuse of Quranic verses by Takfiri currents to justify violence and instability in Islamic societies. The research method in this study is descriptive-analytical. The findings of Quranic political rationality in the intellectual system of the Islamic Revolution are based on the three axes of ijtihad rationality, monotheistic anthropocentrism, and resistance civilization-building, and seek to present a reading of the political Quran that is consistent with the requirements of the times and the needs of Islamic societies by combining tradition and modernity; while Takfiri jihadi rationality, by eliminating the element of collective reason, denying historical ijtihad, and emphasizing strict externalism, has provided a platform .
