With the transfer of the caliphate from the Umayyads to the Abbasids, it did not take long for the Alawites, who had failed in their dreams and were desperate to get justice due to the political pressures and oppression of the new rulers, to rise up to restore their lost rights. Although they followed the same goals and motivations in all the uprisings, they differed in the methods of management and leadership. Using library sources and a descriptive and analytical method, the present research aims to compare the management and leadership of two Shiite movements, namely, Sharik ibn Sheikh Mehari and Yahya ibn Abdollah Hosni. Therefore, this paper seeks to answer the basic questions: What are the differences between these two movements regarding management and leadership in the uprising? And which of the components has been effective in the intensity or weakness of the leaders of the uprising? The findings of the research show that the unique personality traits, strategies and approaches of Sharik ibn Sheikh were among the factors that strengthened his uprising. In contrast, the relatively weak and inappropriate characteristics and approaches of Yahya weakened his leadership power in his uprising.
