The negation of attributes is one of the theories in the ontology of divine attributes. The present article examines this theory in Isfahan Theological School by using a descriptive and analytical method. Prominent theologians in this school are Fayaz Lahiji, Molla Rajab Ali Tabrizi, Ghazi Said Qomi, Mohammad Bagher Majlesi, and Molla Saleh Mazandarani. The theory of the negation of attributes was also proposed in previous theological schools, but in this school, especially with the efforts of Molla Rajab Ali Tabrizi and Ghazi Said Qomi, it was more clearly stated and defended with numerous arguments. Some thinkers of this school proposed the theory in the form of deputy theory and consideration theory, which are other expressions of the theory of the negation of attributes. The most important arguments of the theory of the negation of attributes in Isfahan Theological School are as follows: the contradiction between the proof of attributes with the doctrine of inherent monotheism (i.e. the negation of multiplicity and the negation of combination and the negation of analogy); the accompaniment of the proof of attributes with the proof of defects and limitations and creation; the impossibility of describing essence; and the narrations on the negation of attributes
